Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 Help? - microsoft lifecam update

I have the Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 and will not work correctly. It opens with Windows Live Messenger. It opens and runs when I open the software for them. But do not let me on the audio / video configuration settings flickering image. Has anyone any idea how to fix it? I was not looking for online updates.
